What else could explain Michael Eisner’s stupid comments about Pixar’s movie creations? Responding to a question about Disney’s digital efforts, Eisner called Pixar’s creations as “pretty pathetic.” Pixar and Apple CEO Steve Jobs shot back.
Jobs said sarcastically: “Our films don’t stack up to ‘Atlantis,’ ‘Emperor’s New Groove’ or ‘Treasure Planet.’ ”
Jobs then said that Eisner was a “loose canon” saying he figured that it explained why Eisner would say such a thing.
Okay, so Jobs and Eisner haven’t been getting along since talks broke off between Disney and Pixar, but Eisner must be off his meds to knock the only movies that have been successful for Disney in recent years.
Maybe he’s jealous of Steve’s success in the movie business. Who knows, whatever the reason, it was a stupid comment.

The article link wouldn’t work for me but I googled it and find the situation rather bizarre. It’s completely unprofessional and ridiculously cocky considering the fact that Disney has yet to prove itself in CGI animation and has lost their crown in 2D. He’s just setting himself up for a smackdown.

Yeah, it’s like he’s talking tough to show the board he deserves the job or something. He really should negotiate with Pixar and then Disney will make money too.
