It’s been a rough week, especially for Monique and the kids. Nicole is puking, Michael has pink-eye and to top it all off, Monique started getting sick tonight — so far I’m the only hold-out.

Do people still read books?

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I mean it. I can’t remember the last time I sat down with a good book and did nothing but read for hours. That’s not to say that I don’t read all the time, I do, but usually it’s from the Internet, not from a book.

Disney’s Eisner admits he’s a putz

What else could explain Michael Eisner’s stupid comments about Pixar’s movie creations? Responding to a question about Disney’s digital efforts, Eisner called Pixar’s creations as “pretty pathetic.” Pixar and Apple CEO Steve Jobs shot back.

Chapters has a great shopping experience

For people in the US having Chapters is no big deal — you’re used to having that kind of nice shopping experience, but here in Canada it’s a bit different. For the most part, shopping in Canada sucks. The retailers treat you like crap and they don’t expect you to hang around their store. Chapters book store approaches things totally different.

Zakk Wylde kicks ass in LA

I have a pretty diversified musical collection, owning and listening everything from classical to heavy metal. Mostly though, I really like listening to awesome guitar players — for years this meant Eddie Van Halen. Eddie just so completely ruled the guitar world, but I found that Zakk Wylde has a style that is so unique he must be close to the top of the guitar world these days.

And the birthday ends with a party

Well, Nicole’s birthday is pretty much over and it ended with a party, but not here. In a perfect example of her age, she went out to a friends house for her third boy/girl party in the past few months.
