Are we that desperate for Sidney Crosby news?

Hockey, Sports Add comments

Living in the same area that Sidney Crosby is from in Nova Scotia, I’m happy for the guy. I hope he goes on to break records and be one of the best players in the NHL … ever! But really, do we have to be so desperate for news?

The headline in the sports section of the local paper here in Halifax is “Crosby hits crossbar.” What’s next, “Crosby ties his shoes,” “Crosby takes out his garbage,” or how about “Crosby plays Xbox.”

Crosby got an assist in the game and by all accounts, played a good game — why not report on those facts? Are we really so desperate for the guy to score goals that we will report on the fact that he hit a post or crossbar?

Oh and the Bruins beat the Pens 5-4 in OT. Go Bs!

jim… its preseason, so let’s hold off with pseudo trash talking concerning the bruins beating the pens… we know what will happen opening night… and it aint gonna be pretty.

as far as crosby… he’s living with mario… i wonder if his rookie duties include taking out the lemieux’s trash :D

I am offering you a way out of hockey depression

  9. dMac Says:

i think, after the peguins dance on the bruins heads, you should change your avatar to one representing the pens… i would say i would reciprocate, but there won’t be any need for that as that kind of thinking is nonsense.

  10. Jim Dalrymple Says:

Change my avatar. I see no need for such petty games — I will look for a big “L” (Loser) avatar though

    chicken

    brawk, brawk, brawk

the only losing being done in this towne is by the pirates… and bruins

  12. Jim Dalrymple Says:

Chicken? No, it’s a penguin, but I can see how you would make that mistake :-)

I can see you and I will be busy this hockey season. How many times do they play each other?

  13. dMac Says:

six times. maybe more if the burins make the playoffs. i know, i know, your thinking, “but dave, just about all but two teams make the cut for the playoffs in the nhl.” this is true, but the burins could, quit possibly suck that bad.
