I’m home one day from San Francisco’s warmth and sunshine and what happens? We get hammered with a winter storm. Not just any first of the year winter storm, this was a dandy.
Nicole and Michael came out to help shovel the side deck, which helped out a lot. Actually, Nicole did most of the work and seemed to have a good time doing it.
Twiggy had a blast. She has a habit of jumping in front of you when shoveling snow getting a face — and mouth — full of snow every time you try to clear the walk.
I hate snow. I hate winter.

The winters do get harder when you get older. I used to enjoy it when I was a kid. I thought the snow was fun until I had to get out in it and go to work. Maybe you should retire to a warmer climate.

I don’t think I ever enjoyed winter or snow. I hate the cold — just can’t seem to adjust to a freezing body.
Monique and I talked about the warmer climate, but she likes the changes seasons. I may have to move by myself

Yeah right. I like the changes in seasons as long as it doesn’t include winter. i wish it would just change from spring to fall and back again.

When you get snow you get snow. You can still have the seasons…but not the extreme cold. In Sydney a winter cold snap would be 15 C and everyone would be moaning…they would never be able to cope with what you have. I am finding it cold in the UK now, but it wont snow around us so are lucky, I have been told only once in a blue moon.

I’ve never been to Sydney, but hopefully someday. It’s a long, long flight from here. I always find the weather in London to be so damp and chilly — gets you right to the bone, but I love the city.
